Hotel Pickup & Briefing
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Moshi. Receive a comprehensive briefing about the hike, check your gear, and sign in at the Marangu Gate registration office.
Start the Hike
Begin your ascent from Marangu Gate (1,860m) through the dense, misty rainforest. The trail is well-maintained but steadily uphill, with beautiful flora and fauna along the way.
Mid-Hike Break
Take a well-deserved break at a scenic spot. Enjoy snacks and water while your guide shares interesting facts about Kilimanjaro's ecosystem and conservation efforts.
Arrival at Mandara Hut
Reach Mandara Hut (2,700m) after approximately 4-5 hours of hiking. Celebrate your achievement, take photos, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Lunch & Exploration
Enjoy a packed lunch at Mandara Hut. Afterwards, take a short optional walk to the nearby Maundi Crater for even better views before beginning your descent.
Descent & Return
Begin your descent back to Marangu Gate. The downhill hike takes about 2-3 hours. Return to your hotel in Moshi by approximately 5:00-6:00 PM.
