PREPARATION & TRAINING

Physical Training (3-6 Months Before)

Mental Preparation & Acclimatization

4-Month Training Timeline

Month 1: Foundation Building

Establish routine with 3-4 cardio sessions weekly. Begin strength training 2 times per week. Start weekend hikes (5-10km).

Month 2: Intensity Increase

Increase cardio duration to 45-60 minutes. Add weight to backpack hikes (5kg). Strength training 3 times weekly.

Month 3: Specific Training

Focus on stair climbing/hill repeats. Backpack weight 10-12kg. Long hikes (15-20km) on weekends. Altitude simulation if possible.

Month 4: Peak & Taper

Peak training weeks 1-3, then taper last week. Final long hike with full gear (15kg). Rest and recovery before departure.
